# CommonerApps

> CommonerApps (Commoner Apps LLC) is an independent app studio in the United States. It designs, builds and maintains iOS, Android and web apps for small businesses and founders, and it builds and runs its own software products. It has designed and built more than 90 apps.

## What CommonerApps does

- iOS development: native iPhone and iPad apps in Swift and SwiftUI, including App Store submission.
- Android development: native apps in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, including Google Play publishing.
- Web development: websites, web apps and the customer portals that pair with a mobile app.
- UI and UX design: user flows, wireframes, clickable prototypes and a design system the client keeps.
- Backend development: APIs, databases, sign-in, payments and push notifications, deployed to the cloud.
- Hosting and maintenance: server management, monitoring, backups and security updates after launch.

## Pricing and terms

- Projects start at $500. Most business apps cost between $1,000 and $5,000; complex apps cost more.
- Every project gets a fixed, written quote after a free discovery call, before work starts.
- Typical timeline from idea to App Store is 8 to 12 weeks; simple apps can take 6 to 8 weeks.
- The client owns everything once the project is paid for: source code, designs and assets. No license fees.
- Every launch includes 3 months of free bug fixes and minor updates. Hosting and ongoing support are quoted monthly.

## How a project runs

1. Discovery call: goals, users, scope and a fixed quote.
2. Design: wireframes, then screen designs and a clickable prototype, revised with the client.
3. Build: short cycles with weekly updates and test builds the client installs on their own phone.
4. Launch and support: App Store and Google Play submission, then 3 months of free support.
